Led by Robert "The General" Lee & Professor Zack Hunter, we live local, buy local, we are retired military with a strong connection to the Clear Lake area, and to personal health.

We are excited to bring more jiu jistu to the Clear Lake area.

Professor Robert Lee

Black Belt Head Professor

Robert Lee is a Jiu-Jitsu Black Belt and has been training Jiu Jitsu for almost 15 years. As an enlisted man of almost 20 years in the United States Coast Guard Aviation Division, Robert has been relocated several times. In his military career, he has had the privilege of training with a number of different coaches across the continental United States and Brazil. Robert has stored away hours of different training techniques and ideas that developed the progressive style of Jiu-Jitsu he does today.


Robert is also a Precision Marksman in the Airborne "Use of Force Program". Such skills are put to good use while performing drug interdiction and migrant smuggling missions for operations in the Bahamas, Antilles, Turks and Caicos (OPBAT). During the devastating events of hurricanes Katrina, Rita, and Ike, Robert saved, rescued and protected hundreds of lives. Because of his heroic deeds and bravery, he was awarded by the United States Coast Guard.

Professor Zack Hunter

Black Belt Head Professor

Zack Hunter has been training Jiu-Jitsu since 2009 along with other various types of martial arts including boxing, kickboxing, judo, and wrestling. His passion for Jiu Jitsu led him to open his own gym in 2018 and in 2020 he became part owner of Ed Ramos Clear Lake.  Throughout his training, Professor Zack has competed in multiple Jiu Jitsu competitions which started when he was a blue belt and has continued throughout the years. Besides Jiu Jitsu, Professor Zack had one amateur MMA fight that he won in 30 seconds by arm bar submission. He also participated in a super fight in which he won by a triangle arm bar submission in 36 seconds. His passion for Jiu Jitsu is evident in his teaching style.

Professor Jonathan Garcia

Black Belt Professor

Jonathan began his Martial Arts journey in 2007. In this time he has trained in multiple disciplines including Wrestling, Kickboxing, and Brazilian JiuJitsu to come up with a realistic and effective approach to teaching. Jonathan received his Black Belt from Professor Jared Chaffee of the Carlson Gracie Team out of Conroe, TX. Jonathan has been a part of the Carlson Gracie Team since 2015 and his passion is teaching No-gi BJJ. Aside from Martial Arts Jonathan received his B.S. Degree from Texas A&M University in 2011 and is an active Committeeman for the Houston Livestock Show.


Felipe Rocha

Black Belt Professor

Professor Felipe started training BJJ in 2009. Since then he has had the opportunity to learn from some of the best competitors in the sport. Earning his Purple Belt from Marcelo Garcia, his Brown Belt from JT Torres and Andre Galvão and his Black Belt from Murilo Santana and Eduardo Ramos. In the beginning Felipe wanted to learn BJJ to eventually start fighting MMA, but his love for the sport of BJJ grew more and more as time went on. Eventually putting his MMA dreams on hold in order to pursue his goals in competitive BJJ during that time Felipe became multiple time IBJJF Pan Ams and Open Champion and medalist, Worlds Gi and No Gi Medalist, Rickson Cup Champion, 2 Division Fight2Win champion, Sub Hunter Pro NoGi Champion, #1 ranked Brown Belt in the world during the 2019-2020 season.

My name is Erica Saenz, I am a wife to my amazing husband Adam, and a mom to my 2 sons Evan(12) & Aiden(9). I was first introduced to kickboxing in 2015 and fell in love with learning technique and the full body workout. I began teaching a few classes as a sub in 2016 and have been at it since. I’ve been a full time Childcare director for the last 7 years and have just recently decided to leave that profession to pursue other dreams. I have a passion for working out and look forward to partnering with you in your fitness journey.
